Ian Stepp remembers visiting his aunt’s house as a kid, where he’d play classic games like Duck Hunt and iterations of the Mario Brothers saga on the family’s trusty old Nintendo Entertainment System. Now pushing 30, Stepp is still a fan of the now-classic video games that in recent years have spawned a thriving culture and industry capitalizing on the nostalgia of grownups who coveted Nintendo game systems as kids in the 1980s and 90s.

Very interesting album. I have volume one and volume two. The album is rich in texture and offers a lot for a listener to think about. It is an album than can be used for background or in the foreground. Very dynamic, it's like having two albums in one. The sound at low volume is peaceful and soothing, at higher volumes the complexity of sound is striking and demands further examination.
Not a sound for all occasions, but the one occasion it serves, it serves well. Each track stands at a quality consistant to the others. Not an album that you will wear out your CD player with, but it also won't be one you'll sell to the pawn shop two years later.
