History:
Mike McCoy is probably best known for his band Cher UK, which more or less disbanded in 1998 when he moved to Austin and started The American People. Upon returning to Lawrence in 2002, Mike wanted to reignite Cher UK, but as the band wrote and played new songs, it became apparent that this group was not going to be Cher UK — they would be The Black Rabbits.
