|Selling Something Or Myself||2005|
After spending more than a year playing open mic nights and developing his songwriting abilities, Brett finally decided it was time to record his ideas and do more than just hawk for better time slots at local open mics. However, Brett's time was not wasted playing short sets and tough crowds. On his first official release, "Selling Something or Myself," Brett crafts unique straight-forward songs that somehow fit comfortably between the realms of indie pop and mainstream rock. Keeping in theme with the solo shows, Brett recorded his first release by playing most all the instruments on the EP. Recorded off and on with weekend trips back home to a friend's home studio in Oklahoma, Brett finally got down the full band sound the songs deserved. "Recording with just one other person really helped create a singular sound," Brett admits. "In a way, the EP is a 'one-man-band' with four arms and legs."
