History
In 1999, John Cummings, Brad Durston, and Kevin Horton answered the infamous full-column Pitch Weekly ad taken out by Lawrence resident John Hindes. Dave Tanner was inducted as the final piece in this maddening puzzle. Since January of 2000, Dark Matter has opened up for such national acts as Pissing Razors, Candiria, December, Monstrosity, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Lacuna Coil, and Trust Company.
Dark Matter is not your typical metal as the music is artistic and the lyrics are thought-provoking. It would almost be easier to say what Dark Matter is not rather than what it is. Keep your eyes peeled for Dark Matter's next show.
