History

Tracy Gabel brings "the voice" and the sultry stage presence. Jared Gabel composes most of the band's music, sings and plays guitar and keyboards. Joe Clausing plays bass guitar, sings and writes the occasional song. Oliver Zeltner (the only non-Kansan in the band) joined Gryphyn on lead guitar after playing in various bands in New York, Cleveland and Providence. Zach White, who has been known to listen to delta blues and metal in the same sitting, keeps it all together on drums and percussion. Since forming in 2002, Gryphyn has earned a reputation as a top regional band, playing venues throughout the Midwest. Their independent debut CD "Nothing So Far" dropped in 2005 and featured the singles "Sweet Little Chill" and "Body Cover."
