History

Blunted beats, music for cinema, source of soul, beautiful landscapes, dub, futuristic voices...Monta's distinct sound envelops the listener with a backwash of atmosphere that swirls from ear to ear.

Their music is a story of brothers working it out as brothers do best.

Dedric Moore and Delaney Moore are the manipulators of Monta's sound. The pair wants to share their passion for dub, jazz and abstract funk. Monta has set out on a mission to explore these ideas further with the mindset that everything is open for inclusion in their musical collection. Monta have also set a goal to ignore the urge to "move the dancefloor" and make music purely for the listening experience.

Monta have played with John Creamer, Monk from Rabbit in the Moon, Wally Callero, DJ Punc Roc and Skylab 2000. Monta have releases on Crater Technology as well as a mix for DJ Ray Velasquez (NY) on Risk Records. Monta have co-produced the album Bad Idea for Lolo on Grinder/Invisible Records.Ui. Monta's track, Exposed in Novosibirsk, is available on the CIT02 vinyl release from Citrona Recordings

Monta have finished work on their full-length debut and are currently looking at options for releasing it.
