History
National Fire Theory is a four piece rock band native to the Kansas City area. Formed in 1999 from the ashes of local punk bands, they grouped together with the intent to do something different. With each member coming from different musical backgrounds and influences, they quickly started to form songs that were way beyond any musical genre to create their own unique style. Within two years and many shows throughout the Midwest, they have established themselves as a band that works extremely hard and devotes 110% to their music. National Fire Theory has played numerous shows with bands such as Jimmy Eat World, No Knife, Superdrag, Breaking Pangaea, Further Seems Forever, Matthew, River City High, Season to Risk, Mae, Murder by Death, Shiner, and As Friends Rust, plus many Midwest outings by themselves, and a spot on the 2003 Furnace Festival in Birmingham, AL. They now set out to expand even further into their hopes of making good music. With a new EP recently recorded and hopes to do another tour branching out to the coasts, this band will not stop until something stops them first.
