Awesome Impeach

Monday, April 21, 2008

There's only one point that I want to emphasize. "Awesome Speech"? Really? REALLY!?!? You literally couldn't make up dialog to make the man sound more inept. It's even worse when you take the Pope's topic into consideration, that Democracy works best when policy is informed by moral values. Or the other recent dick move by the Resident, hosting John McCain and treating him to a fucking hot dog dinner. There's nothing more to say about it that hasn't been said by many people before me, and much more eloquently. But there is one image I think of every time I see that man, that I think sums it up pretty well.

Photobucket

How much you want to bet that if he saw that photo, he'd think, "Heh heh. Awesome."?

Jesus Christ. It's amazing how every time I've decided that it's impossible for me to hate that man anymore, he finds a way.

You shouldn't misunderestimate him

I just think it's fitting that he's carrying away the flag.

Here's a fun challenge. Try to name ONE good thing he's done, or one thing that's gotten better for the common citizen. It's hard.

Is that photo real?

If so, where did this fucking moron of a man pull said stunt?

"Try to name ONE good thing he's done..."

My six year old pronounces "nuclear" properly. I tell her she can say it better than the President of the United States. This is useful as an affirmation tool.

On Friday a KC cab driver straight up laughed and me and my whiteness for using the word "awesome" to describe some music I liked. Pope (shrug). Cab driver (shrug).

He has given a load of money to Africa to aid with preventable disease.*

*No kudos apply for funds given to abstinence programs. Which is a pretty high percentage of the total, I think.

Nnnnnyeah.... I think he's still a prick. The money has been pledged, but it hasn't all been given out. If a program wants the money, they have to teach abstinence; which is like teaching a dog to not eat delicious, delicious bacon when it comes across it.

Check it out, yo.

You're in camp with 69% of America, Matt. Gallup released a poll yesterday showing that Bush is the most unpopular president in the history of their presidential polling. Nixon had lower disapproval numbers when he resigned.

Now, it's entirely possible that Millard Fillmore could've performed worse than Bush if Gallup were around to gauge outrage at our 13th president having been found to frequent train station lavatories dressed as a trollop, but that's a debate for historians--sexy historians.

28% approval...the blue turtle shell in Mario Kart is less hated than this necrophiliac.

It's kind of nice to be in the majority for once.

Only one good thing has happened under bush's watch - The No Call List. That's it. Pathetic.

Heh, heh. It could be said that 28% love the blue turtle shell. And you know what they call habitual blue turtle shell getters.

OMG! We got one!

If there was a futures market for it, I'd wager the "no call list" will ultimately backfire. So... back to zero.

But wait, here's one: Bush has f*ed things up so bad that the Dems can actually get their candidate elected president (knock on wood)

Yeah, the AIDS money's pretty tainted with the foolish abstinence ties (the link you provided is a wee bit outdated, but the situation's not that much different far's I know). Bush's recent trip to Africa did provide that hilarious clip of him dancing, which is worth a buck.

I'm thinking more along the lines of polio, malaria, iodine deficiency, etc. which was as far as I understand was a small chunk of that money. They have seen quite a bit of money since Bush's initial pledge in 2004(during the election?), but you're totally right, not all of it will probably make it there. Better than a kick in the pants, though.

Way more than the response to Katrina, the response to the tsunami was impressive, but that had as much (if not more) to do with Bush's dad and Bill Clinton. And Americans donated a TON of money to boot. $200M or something.

These are stretches - like you said, it's definitley tough.

"OMG! We got one!"

Yes. Yes you did. My nine year old could kick my ass by the time he was six. Likely yours too.

Actually here's an interesting link I just stumbled on...

http://www.ontheissues.org/george_w__bus...

I haven't explored it fully but it has listings of different stands and actions current and recent leaders have taken on major issues.
