I finally fixed this:

Photobucket

So I can now post to this:

Photobucket

Last week, Curvacia and I had one of these:

Photobucket

For which she bought me this:

Photobucket

And I bought us tickets to this:

Right now I'm enjoying one of these:

Photobucket

Before going out and doing this:

Photobucket

After work last night, I was almost attacked by some of these:

Photobucket

Because a few weeks ago I chased one of them out of the bar with this:

Photobucket

And told another one of them to do this:

Photobucket

Luckily, I have a slightly higher IQ than the average lump of stool, so I was able to skillfully evade their clever trap.

Fuck you.

For actually tricking me into clicking on a B52 link, I hereby condemn you to (uhhhh...) Edgar Winter hell. The valley is low, baby.

No, Dot, fuck YOU!!!!!!!!! The B52s are one of the greatest bands EVAR. A little more Rock Lobster in your soul would do you good, you crotchety old fart.

Whoa, that's weird...my co-worker was just talking about the B-52's and I was showing him the Facebook page I made for my stuffed lobster.

Rock Lobster in my soul, or even better in ma belly, is fine. I'm from Florida.

It's the B52s I hate. Probably the only band in the history of human civilization worth hating. And the 80s. I hate the 80s even though they are not a band, but the 80s is responsible for the B52s.

You're all going to hell. Unless you do penance. 4 Eruptions, 10 Kashmirs, and 12 Frankensteins. And promise to sin no more.

And Stairway to Freebird. Two dozen.

Fred Schneider loves you just the way you are, DOTDOT. He'll take you for a ride in his Chrysler that's as big as a whale. Doesn't that sound fun?

Where are you going to B-Fiddy? Dallas, Chicago, Milwaukee? I smell a Double date!!! Op, wait, that's just me.

Sorry to burst your bubble, dot dot, but the B's started playing gigs in the mid- 70's, and their first album was released in '79.

Matt-- Chicago. I'm almost thinking megabus, since everyone keeps hyping it to us...

Yeah, well. I didn't hear of them until the 80s so thats all that matters.

Hmmm, I was planning a trip to Chicago this spring anyway . . . when are they playing?

Dotdot - your anti-B52s comments are shameful. Go to your room right now, kiddo!

Review of the new B-52s album from the admittedly snobby Pitchfork -- while I am very suspicious of "comeback" albums in general, this doesn't sound half-bad: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/re...

And I just bought all three of these -- as I recall Rob, you're a fan of Mission of Burma, right? I normally don't think much of reissues (if the songs are strong enough, who cares about some minor improvements in production?), but these really are the closest thing I've heard to the perfect marriage of analog and digital. And there's some cool concert footage to boot:

Josh Ritter :: Besides the fact that he wrote a song called "Lawrence, KS" without ever having been to Lawrence, there are plenty of reasons to dig on the poetic verses of Josh Ritter ... More info
