Quite frankly we don't know what to make of this one. This seems to be way too big of a show for the minimal hype it's received -- and that on the merit of 4th-billed Kill Creek alone. The definitive band in Lawrence from the last decade -- notably the primary influence for The Get Up Kids -- Kill Creek's last show was, when? Even if this does prove a cruel misbilling, the rest of the bill is, too, phenomenal. Side project of Appleseed Cast's Chris Crisci -- Old Canes -- could likewise hold its own on a solo bill. Eta Crinae and headliners Ilya's blend of jazz, trip hop, and noise rock and will no doubt be a healthy icing on the proverbial cake.
