If you haven't heard, there's been quite a storm on the sun this month and the effects within our atmosphere can be stunning. Sitings were reported as early as Tuesday night starting just after midnight. The forecost is for the auroras -- very color light displays at night -- to begin much earlier Wednesday and Thursday.
