Yo-Yo Ma sustains a balance between his solo and orchestral engagements and continues to search for new ways to communicate with audiences. The performance will feature his Silk Road Ensemble - a collaboration that promotes the study of the cultural, artistic and intellectual traditions along the ancient Silk Road trade route that stretched from the Mediterranean Sea to the Pacific Ocean. This once-in-a-lifetime event celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Concert Series and 10 years of performing arts at the Lied Center.
