Ghosty / Namelessnumberheadman / High Dive

Bottleneck

Sometimes, we just get lucky. Bands that could be wooing audiences in any major metropolitan city decide to settle down in Lawrence and develop, baring their stretch marks for all who care to watch. Such is the case with Ghosty, which has endured a Wilco-esque stretch of band changes in its slow-burn rise to the top of the local pops. Newly assimilated guitarist Jeff Ferrell (formerly of The Hardaways) has already proven a Nomar-like pickup, adding pro-grade harmonies and fleshing out a two guitar attack. Also performing is KC's Namelessnumberheadman. The trio of multi-instrumentalists takes heartfelt, melodic pop songs with a folkish acoustic tinge and swirls them into futuristic, electronic soundscapes.
