Matt Rice has been a lone wolf up to this point, but the talented singer/songwriter looks to have roped himself a stellar backup band in the form of bassist Robbie Pope (The Get Up Kids) and drummer John Anderson (The Higher Burning Fire, Matt Suggs). The trio makes its debut Friday at The Taproom, where Pope and Anderson will help flesh out Rice's folk and country-inspired ballads.
