The weekly hip-hop party that packed the Pool Room on Fridays for two years is moving to a bigger, more convenient venue. And PG's first evening at The Bottleneck is a dandy: the CD release show for SceneboosterSoundSystem, Vol. 1. Scenebooster -- the debut from Lawrence beat master Josh Powers -- features nine tracks of original brilliance: danceable but chill tracks and conscious hip-hop lyricism by local marquee MCs. Powers and those same MCs will reproduce the album live on stage, making this a rare opportunity to peek behind the proverbial curtain of one of Lawrence's best musical minds.
