We Are The Dead: Works for the Future

Joseph Griffin multi-media live performance show

Ad Astra Galleria

Lawrence poet and musician Joseph Griffin will share over four years of original work in celebration of Lawrence's 150th anniversary, during three live performances at the Ad Astra Art Gallery beginning at 8 p.m. nightly June 4, 5, and 6th. We Are The Dead: Works for the Future is a retrospective multi-media live performance show focused on the future said Griffin. "As the show's title reminds us," Griffin said. "We are all only here for a moment, and we should make that moment grand." For the show, Griffin has compiled many of his best works of the last four years into a coherent, theme-based performance piece, including poems, songs, and video. "All of these works will be preformed solo and without a net," Griffin said. We Are The Dead: Works for the Future, a live multi-media performance art showing, opens June 4th and plays through June 6th nightly beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the Ad Astra Art Gallery located at 205 W. 8th Street in historic downtown Lawrence. Advanced tickets are seven dollars and will be available downtown at Miko's, Henry's, Good Earth Mother, and the Ad Astra box office beginning June 1st. Morti sumus, operae pro futuro
