Barbara McCreery began making her whimsical shadow-box characters five years ago when she opened a pack of her ex-boyfriend's cigarettes and glued the tobacco to a styrofoam ball! A professional landscape designer (and reluctant former art student), she creates worlds for these characters out of thistles, thorns and bug shells, building miniature trees and other shadow-box settings. Her work will be on display until March 31, 2004. The Kid's Corner of the Olive Gallery also features artwork by brothers, Connor (10) and Liam (8) Reynolds. Highly recommended. Exhibition runs until March 31, 2004.
