Drakkar Sauna's two-piece/one-mic sideshow reflects the group's diverse influences -- Mandy Patinkin, Richard Dyer-Bennett, the musical "Guys and Dolls," The Louvin Brothers, The Harry Smith Anthology of Folk Music -- and ultimately leaves the impression that these are two very strange fellows. Kirk Rundstrom -- when he's not playing with Split Lip Rayfield -- takes a genre-be-damned tack to his pub anthems, running the gamut between slow jams that could be mistaken for Widespread Panic and Sabbath-caliber electric guitar joints.
