Despite their brutal namesake, Indiana's Murder By Death is actually quite listener-friendly. Like Cursive - the band's closest cousin - MBD features a cello and some tasty keyboards to round out the band's post-something emo rock. Local hero Matt Pryor (aka The Get Up Kids) lends his talents to this show's supporting cast, while Sleep Station may indeed be the "sleeper" on this bill. The New Jersey band's latest "After the War" is a hummable collection of acoustic-based pop revolving around World War II.
