Shaking Tree / Distance to Empty / Jeff Kanterman

Granada

From the band: In 1997, Shaking Tree formed in Lawrence and currently tours throughout the Midwest and East Coast. This past summer, they performed in Wisconsin in front of 10,000 people at a sold out show when they opened for Journey and Kansas. They also played shows with Michael Glabicki, lead vocals of Rusted Root. Shaking Tree has a new album due out in the beginning of 2005. Shaking Tree's sound is similar to folk jam-band. Distance to Empty also formed in Lawrence in 2002 and in 2004 released their debut self-titled album. Distance to Empty, now based out of Kansas City, kicked off their first tour this summer around the Midwest. They will be touring more this fall in promotion of their debut album. Distance to Empty's music is similar to melodic college pop rock.
