Cost: Free - $15
Age limit: All ages
Categories: Children, Community, Bluegrass, Pop, Rock, Singer/songwriter
Description: The New Amsterdams headline this fundraiser for Lawrence Community Nursery School, which, coincidentally, serves lead singer Matt Pryor's two children. Pryor (formerly of The Get Up Kids) will also perform an early set with his children's music outfit Terrible Twos, which is kind of like The New Amsterdams except that they sing about "dinosaurs and bugs and stuff." The early bill also features local bluegrass from The Midday Ramblers and The Prairie Acre, while the late show offers the funky instrumental soup of The Yards and the twangy rock of Julia Peterson and The Breaks.
