After some five years as one of Lawrence's favorite hometown bands, Ghosty is movin' on up. A deal with Future Farmer Records for its stellar debut full-length "Grow Up or Sleep In" could well result in some national love like the band found in these parts. Now a five-piece, Ghosty utilizes two guitars, keyboards and harmonies to flesh out Andrew Connor's Elliott Smith- and Big Star-esque pop songs. Local art-punkers Ad Astra Per Aspera (nearing completion on a full-length record) and Sad Fingers set the stage, along with Kunek's pristine instrumentals out of Stillwater, Oklahoma.$7 under 21, $5 over 21+.
