Rasputina / Dame Darcy / Alacartoona
When: Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, 8 p.m.
Where: The Granada, 1020 Mass., Lawrence
Cost: $13.50 - $15
Age limit: All ages
Categories: Goth / industrial, Rock
Description: If you’re curious what happens when you cross goth rock with baroque-chamber-music, or if lingerie-clad cellists trip your trigger, do check out Rasputina. The current incarnation of the band features two cellists (Melora Creager, Zoe Keating) and drummer Jonathon S. TeBeest. Their sound is more towards the Edgar Allan Poe side of "goth," likely the reason Rasputina has appeared alongside Belle and Sebastian as well as Marilyn Manson.

I wish Dame Darcy would have been listed as an opening act before today, I would have tried harder to get a ticket... Make sure you guys get there early enough to check her out, she's a real HOOT!
