Cabaret crooner Jolie Holland mixes piedmont blues guitar with brushed jazz drums and elastic vocals that hint at classic singers like Billie Holliday. She is a founding member of The Be Good Tanyas and tours with a band consisting of veteran jazz drummer Dave Mihal, guitarist Brian Miller and Jolie on guitar and fiddle. Recently signed to Anti Records (Tom Waits, Neko Case), Holland is a rising folk singer with a subtle yet sensual charm.

oh no. I can't make it to this show, and even though I saw her last July I know I'm going to miss a great show. Plus, this one will probably be even better since she won't have a terrible toothache this time.
To the friend I made from Fayatteville (the ukulele fan) I say hello and sorry that I missed you. If you get the chance, drop a line here -
thanks.
