The Pomonas / Fizzle Like a Flood / Tanner Walle

Jackpot Music Hall

Citing Jeff Tweedy, Stephen Malkmus and Alex Chilton as favorites, Lawrence songwriter Justin Ripley writes thoughtful acoustic pop songs with a self-effacing sense of humor and enough bouyancy to induce habitual toe-tapping. Ripley is a regular performer (and host) at the Jazzhaus's weekly Wednesday open mic, but he's branching out into the taverns with a new band dubbed The Pomonas. Jazzy pop crooner Tanner Walle opens the evening.
