The Afro-Shingaling party begin in fall of '04 as a continuation to the successful Shake Your Culo party. Set in the dimly lit Spamish Harlem underground joint known as the 8th street Tap Room, the Afro-Shingaling is a night full of breakbeats ranging from 1960's nu yorican, boogaloo, afro-beat, and Jamaican bangers brought to you by DJ's Senor Ozgood (legendery KC DJ responsible for the weekly institution @ Jilly's) and DJ Cheo (one half of the former Latin Lab on KJHK and current Afro-Boogaloo Sundays 3-5 p.m. on KJ).
