Danny Pound
When: Thursday, July 14, 2005, 10:30 p.m.
Where: The Eighth Street Tap Room, 801 N.H., Lawrence
Cost: $2
Age limit: 21+
Categories: Singer/songwriter
Description: With nearly 10 years experience in the local music scene, Danny Pound is the kind of songwriter that we should feel lucky to call our own. Since splitting with indie outfit Vitreous Humor, Pound has been reincarnated as the ghost of Gram Parsons — a bar-burning troubadour with a country love affair and a rock and roll heart. Equally entertaining as a solo performer and with The Danny Pound Band, Pound splits his time between melancholy originals and would-be-hits lost in the backroads of the Nashville machine.
Word is Pound may be moving to Austin pretty soon, so this may be his last Lawrence show for awhile.
