Spoon / The Clientele

Since becoming 'Spoon' in 1994, just about everything but the Austin band's name has changed. After each of their five albums, guitarist/singer Britt Daniel and drummer Jim Eno have changed labels, changed up the rest of the band, and drastically changed their sound. However enigmatic, it is Daniel's creative vision and the constant interplay between him and Eno that ultimately identifies them as Spoon. The band's latest "Gimmie Fiction" navigates a brooding, piano-driven terrain that's as stark and strange as ever. In a good way, of course.
