Field Day is a 24-hour period that Amateur Radio Operators make as many ham radio contacts with other amateur radio operators as possible, across the nation and around the world! All while using emergency power, such as batteries, generators, etc.! This will help us be ready in the event of an emergency when communications are needed! Camp will be set up at Wells Overlook Park and contacts made on the radio for the 24-hour period! Come up before 10 PM Saturday and after 9 am Sunday and see what is happening! You can talk on the radio, see some neat radio gear, and get on the air!Sponsored by The Douglas County Amateur Radio Club.
