Choreographer and dancer Beau Hancock will present a series of dance works at the Olive Gallery and Art Supply on Thursday, June 30, at8:00p.m. Utilizing the compositions of Icelandic musician Bjork,Hancock's show "Duex" offers excerpts from a larger solo work createdfor Ellie Goudie-Averill entitled "One Pretty Girl." "One Pretty Girl"integrates movement and poetry from Goudie-Averill's collection into atheatrical work exploring the various facets of womanhood and identity."Duex" also includes a new solo work for Hancock that mirrors "OnePretty Girl's" biographical nature and delves into the layers ofmasculine/feminine characteristics. Finally, the show concludes with aduet improvisation focusing on the absurdity of daily life set toBjork's "Human Behaviour."
