Saul Williams

Granada

Saul Williams' poetry is proof that words can indeed dictate reality. His open mic performances at NYC poetry cafes landed him the lead role in SLAM, a Sundance- and Cannes-award winning film that he co-wrote. The film opened the door for albums of beat-laden poetry delivered in the rock-rap vein of Rage Against the Machine, worldwide tours and several books. As a result, his brash slam style has served as an archetype for a generation of spoken word artists.
