Like Hank Williams' kin Hank III, Sarah Lee Guthrie has learned to carry the weight of a legacy with a voice towards the future. The granddaughter of Woody Guthrie has one huge advantage in that department: a voice that would make Grandpa insanely jealous. With her husband Johnny Irion and a cast of musicians from notables like Son Volt and Tift Merritt, Guthrie ploughs the timeless fields of folk and Americana on her own hard-earned terms.

I don't know... I've heard her stuff, and she sounds about as "Americana" as Shania Twain. Really... Her voice may be better than Woody's (not much of a feat) but she has a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way to go in regards to carrying on with his legacy.
