In the early morning of Feb. 22, Lawrence's premier metal band The Esoteric lost more than $20,000 worth of band equipment in a house fire. Thankful to still have their health, the band began the uphill battle of trying to get back on their feet. Thanks to a number of charitable contributions, the band fulfilled all of its tour dates in March. These two Lawrence shows - March 29 at The Bottleneck and March 30 at The Granada - represent the first official hometown benefit shows. All proceeds go to the band.
