Description: A benefit for Lawrence Community Nursery school with live music, food, and fun for the kids.

Performers include The New Amsterdams, The Prairie Acre, Melanie Dill, jazz by the Tommy Johnson Experiment and Barry Barnes, who almost certainly will dress like a cow and do spoken word.

Kids' activities include a moon walk, dunk tanks, magic shows and face painting.

If you're of the mind to work up an appetite for family fun (and pancakes!), head down the the red schoolhouse at 7:15 a.m. and register for the 5K, 10K, or family fun walk. Or just come by and cram your face full of delicious fluffy pancakes flipped by the beloved host of television's The Turnpike!
