Women's Health Discussion Group: Birth

Solidarity! Revolutionary Center & Radical Library

TOPIC: BirthThis discussion will be lead by Lily. Everyone present will be invited to share the story of her own birth. Women who have given birth will be open to answering questions and telling the stories of their children's births. The Women's Health Discussion Group meets at 6:30pm the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month at Solidarity! Center, 1119 Massachusetts Street. The group is open to anyone who identifies as a woman or who has the female anatomy being discussed. The group welcomes mothers, grandmothers, queer women, transwomen, students, women of color, working women, stay-at-home moms, single women: all women who wish to discuss women's health and sexuality. Instead of being facilitated only by "experts," our meetings are usually led by individual members of the group who are interested in sharing their knowledge (you don't have to sign up to present to be a member of the group!). Formal presentations by group members are usually followed by an informal group discussion that gives everyone an opportunity to share their perspective. We invite new members to come by and join us! Participants are welcome to attend as few or as many meetings as best fits your schedule or interest. Members of the group are expected to keep confidential what is discussed at meetings. If you have any questions about the group, please contact: cajungal@mutualaid.org.
