Description: Alt-folk songwriter Mary Gauthier is winning fans among the Lucinda Williams contingent with bluesy, finger-picked arrangements and life-worn lyrics. Though she didn't emerge as a songwriter until her mid-30s, Gauthier quickly earned props from the music press for her authentic rootsy sound and back-porch vocal stylings.
Opener Eliza Gilkyson earned a Grammy nomination in the contemporary folk category for her recent album "Milk and Honey."
