Gooding, a still-young alternative rock band from Wichita, fuses elements of funk, blues and world music with musicianship that rivals any three-piece band on the map. The band gained notoriety by appearing on the "Matrix: Revisited" DVD and on MTV's "Road Rules," but has largely won over fans with a dynamic live show that features bombastic drums, deep and fuzzy bass, nimbly picked acoustic guitar and a supremely confident lead singer. The band's new album "Angel/Devil" is its most polished to date, at times recalling Jeff Buckley with its intricately woven melodies.
