Local electronica/hip-hop label Mixtape Meditation celebrates the release of its first 12" featuring Lawrence MC/producer Johnny Quest and Topeka rapper Stikfiga. Both rappers balance elements of arty "backpacker" hip-hop with more mainstream flavors, immersing themselves in hip-hop culture past and present. Ben Fuller spins hip-hop/broken beats throughout the evening and free vinyl will be given away. Starts at 9pm Free before 10pm--- Every Tuesday, Tribal Vision and MixtapeSoundLab brings Lawrence an eclectic mix of live entertainment spanning deep house, local hip-hop, experimental, electronica, beats, downtempo, drum'n'bass, trip-hop, improv and funk.
