Julia Peterson and the Breaks / OK Jones / The Roseline

Description: The lovely incestuous nature of the Lawrence music scene is demonstrated by this three-band bill, which features overlapping band members and like-minded personalities. Talented songstress Julia Peterson headlines with her band "The Breaks," purveying a Lucinda Williams-inspired roots rock that's only "country" insomuch as it cherishes heartbreak.
OK Jones sports a pedal steel guitar but leans more towards the pop stylings of The New Pornographers or Josh Rouse.
The Roseline (recently extended to a full band) captures the sublime wistfulness of Ryan Adams.
