KU's Department of Music and Dance presents visiting artist, Carol Mathieson, professor of voice at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. Mathieson will present a performance and lecture on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. in room 328 in Murphy Hall. Swedish soprano Jenny Lind toured North America in 1850 under the management of P.T. Barnum, and "Lindomania" swept the country. Dr. Mathieson will represent Lind in a vocal performance that interprets the music that made this Swedish vocalist a household name. This event is free and open to the public.
