Proclaiming themselves "the most kick-ass musicians in Lawrence, KS," Cosmopolitics play IMPROG: Improvised, progressive rock. Formerly known as Cosmic Egg, the instrumental band consists of multi-talented musicians Matt Gader, Luke Stone, Scott Welch and Andy Kroeker. Think Phish, "only a little more complex," they explain. Judge for yourself tonight at Fatso's.

I've actually seen this band before..."Phish only a little more complex" is a pretty poor way to describe them. Their music is complicated at times, but sounds more or less like Umphrey's McGee. The 2 guitar players shred like no one else in this town. They definitely aren't your average "college rock band"...I don't even think any of them are in college...ill see yall there tonight!

We're not sure who put this page together, but the description of the band seems a bit egotistical and inaccurate. We appreciate the effort, but we do not proclaim to be "the most kick-ass musicians in Lawrence." Also don't think Phish, please anything but that! Think something like Frank Zappa with nuclear missles. We like Melissa's comment. Have fun at the show. Your friends, -Cosmopolitics
