"What in the world am I looking at?" you may ask yourself while viewing the Olive's next show, but you won't be able to peel your eyes away from these striking photographs. Christopher James Miller's "Manipulations" series is composed of high end, archival ink-jet prints from a long process of photographs that are digitally manipulated together to create one image. These prints are created through a photographic macro study of my own body, with a substance or object imposed upon it, and the final outcome is a piecing together of up to eight images from a single shoot. These abstract, high-contrast images will be displayed along with a digital video that Chris has prepared for the show. Meet the artist at the Opening Reception on Saturday, July 1st, from 6:00-10:00p.m. The artwork of Kade Forest Bassett will be featured in the Kid's Corner. The Olive Gallery's summer hours are 12noon-6:00p.m. everyday.
