Strapping Young Lad / Eyes of the Betrayer / Sicadis

Granada

Vancouver band Strapping Young Lamb has an off day from its run on the second stage of this year's Ozzfest tour. Rather than relax on the tour bus, the group has decided to bring its hybrid of progressive, melodic and chaotic thrash metal to Lawrence for a one-off gig. Led by singer-guitarist Devin Townsend, who has produced albums from past Ozzfest acts such as Lamb of God, Soilwork and Darkest Hour, the long-running band will debut songs from its latest recording, "The New Black."
