featuring the Flaming Lips, Yonder Mountain String Band, Bela Fleck and many more
When: Thursday, June 8, 2006, time TBA
Where: Clinton State Park, Clinton Lake, Lawrence
Cost: Not available
Age limit: All ages
Categories: Outdoor, Country, Jam, Pop, Rock, Singer/songwriter, World music
Description: This, the 3rd annual festival at Clinton Lake again features an eclectic mix of more mainstream pop/rock bands — most notably the Flaming Lips — respected by the indie crowd as well as the usual bulk of more jam/dance bands beloved among heads and hippies who will travel from all over the country to see the likes of STS9, Robert Randolph and many more. There's also the bluegrass and folkish Americana contingent — Bela Fleck, Keller Williams and the like — which have become perhaps the festival's core, thanks to their crossover appeal.

Get ready for Cop-a-rusa, part 2 !!!
If anyone's curious, there's gonna be the same number of cops at Wakarusa this year as last year. Surrender your civil rights at the gate and try to have a good time!
