Elsewhere known as The Danielson Famile, Br. Danielson and/or Tri-Danielson, Danielson is the revolving-door project of indie-Christian patriarch Daniel Smith. Though no Christian radio station in their right mind would ever spin any of Smith's projects, he and his extended brethren have made quite a splash with an eccentric catalog of recordings colored with Danny Boy's fearlessly high-pitched voice. Danielson's latest "Ships" set sail with a cast of collaborators including Sufjan Stevens, Deerhoof and Half-Handed Cloud. Expect much pomp and circumstance to accompany the live show previously, Daniel wore a nine-foot-tall, hand-made tree to "bear the good fruit."
