Description: Maritime is the joint effort of former Promise Ring singer/guitarist Davey vonBohlen and drummer Dan Didier and ex-Dismemberment Plan bassist Eric Axelson. The group's second full-length "We The Vehicles" sounds as slick and gorgeous as the farewell Promise Ring record "Wood/Water": concise, transcendent pop songs built with super-clean guitar riffs and chirpy keyboards. Axelson's superb bass lines inject a bit of swagger into the Maritime machine, but it's vonBohlen's empathetic vocal inflections that make the whole thing bounce.
Openers The Legendary Terrordactyls are a newish local band composed of former members of We Are The Black Market, The Tamarind Fold and Boo and Boo Too.
