Dr. Thomas Heilke, Professor of Political Science at the University of Kansas, will explore the work of Eric Voegelin as one of the most important historians of the past century. Dr. Heilke's lecture is entitled "The Case of Eric Voegelin: Jesus, Philosophy, and Gnosticism."The Public House at Signs of Life is a public forum for lectures series, reading groups, book reviews, debates, and panel discussions where one may hear, consider, and participate in the conversation of our culture while discovering its place in history. The Public House will invite professionals, experts, and enthusiastic amateurs from a variety of fields of study to join in conversation with members of the Lawrence community to investigate diverse topics and issues in society and culture.
