Art Brut

with Birdmonster / Roman Numerals / Superargo

Granada

British dance-rockers Art Brut were tagged by NME as part of the "art wave" scene that includes Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party, but the band's scene-deprecating sense of humor distinguishes them from the pack. The uber-hip Rough Trade label released the group's song "Formed a Band" statewide, creating a buzz for the debut full-length "Bang Bang Rock & Roll." Kansas City rockers Roman Numerals and Lawrence's own Superargo set the stage along with heatseeking San Francisco outfit Birdmonster.

looking forward to this show!

...except the opener, does superargo actually do anything on his laptop when he's playing live? ...squarepusher and daedulus sport live composition and manipulation when they play out...he should probably consider that before he talks smack on those predecessors...
