Skyhoundz Frisbee Disc Championship

The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will host the Skyhoundz Frisbee Disc Championship, a contest for dogs and owners,There is no entry fee for competitors, and admission is free and open to the public. Registration will begin at 1:30 p.m. at South Park.Contestants and their canine teammates will earn points for basic throws and catches, with a premium for mid-air catches and grabs in the distance/accuracy competition and the free style event. The event is open to both mixed and purebred dogs. Participants do not need any previous experience.Hyperflite Flying Discs, maker of canine competition discs, sponsors the 2006 Skyhoundz Hyperflite Championship series, which is comprised of more than 100 local championships, six regional championships and the world championship. All competitors will receive an official Hyperflite K-10 Competition Standard flying disc.
