The 230 members are mainly from Northeast Kansas and sponsor two fund-raisers each year. A grant from The Kansas Arts Commission Support will help support the anniversary fair.For the outdoor festival, 150 artists, 10 food vendors, music performances all day, face painting, balloon artist, dog-Frisbee competition in the afternoon and most importantly fine art and fine craft. The participants' works are screened prior to acceptance for the show and all art and craft items must be original work, handmade by the artists.The juror awarding the cash prizes in seven categories this year is Barry Fitzgerald, associate professor of illustration at the University of Kansas. He has received more than 100 national and international awards for his work. His images have appeared in more than 50 juried and invitational exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, London, Philadelphia, Detroit, San Diego, Buffalo, and Washington, D.C.
